Mr. Wang: Yes, of course. is a leading exhibition organizer in China, focusing on environmental technologies and related industries.WieTec is one of our flagship events, which brings together exhibitors and visitors from all over the world to showcase the latest products and services in the environmental sector. This year's show is held on June 5-7,
2023, and we are very excited about it because, after 3 years of strict travel restrictions, we can finally expect an influx of international guests. As the world emerges from the pandemic, there is a growing appetite for international travel and events such as WieTec 2023 are poised to benefit from this trend, as visitors seek out new experiences and connections to help them thrive in a rapidly changing global marketplace.
EG Team: Can you tell our readers more about the expo platform WieTec and who it serves? Which specific expos fall under the umbrella of WieTec?
Mr. Wang: WieTec expo platform serves a diverse range of industries related to environmental protection and sustainable development. We organize several expos under the WieTec brand, and I am pleased to announce that WieTec now offers an even more comprehensive range of environmental technologies and solutions. Our latest additions to the repertoire are YICE and Energy-saving. YICE is dedicated to the industrialization of construction in East China, while Energy-saving focuses on energy-saving solutions.
These two exhibitions complement our existing lineup of expos, which include Aquatech China for water technologies, Flowtech China for pump, pipe, and valve technologies, Ecotech China for solid waste and waste gas treatment and waste management, AirVentec China for air pollution control and air purification, Intenv China for environmental monitoring and IoT environmental solutions, and Comforeco China for HVAC, smart home, and home comfort solutions.
With YICE and Energy-saving, we now cover a broader range of environmental concerns and solutions, making WieTec the go-to platform for anyone looking to stay updated and informed about the latest environmental technologies and innovations.
EG Team: The pandemic has hit the expo industry hard. Can you tell us about some of the challenges you faced during the pandemic years?
Mr. Wang: Yes, the pandemic has certainly been a challenge for our industry, but we have adapted to the new circumstances by offering hybrid events and online exhibitions. We also implemented strict health and safety measures at our physical events to ensure the safety of our exhibitors and visitors. The editions of 2020 and 2021 were quite successful, but unfortunately, we didn't receive the usual number of international visitors due to the pandemic. Nonetheless, we are grateful for the support of our local attendees and look forward to welcoming back our international visitors this year.
EG Team: In the context of the economic post-pandemic recovery, how important are trade shows like WieTec?
Mr. Wang: Trade shows are crucial for the economic recovery as they provide a platform for businesses to showcase their products and services, network with potential partners, and generate new business leads. They also promote innovation and collaboration within the industry. As we emerge from the pandemic, trade shows such as WieTec will play a vital role in revitalizing the economy and promoting sustainable development.
